NPC Portraits Deck: Tavern Staff & Patrons

"Who is at the tavern?" These NPCs help you quickly plan or improvise tavern encounters with staff and regulars. They offer services, sad stories, and plot hooks for your PCs.

Each character card has a portrait and personality and background. Quirks make them memorable. Leverage makes role-playing them interesting.

These system-neutral cards feature an inclusive range of ethnicities and fantasy races. Each character has a primary and a secondary role in the tavern, blending history and fantasy.

Note: PDF download includes a zip of three files: One with each side of a card as its own 3.75"x2.75" page, a second which is a form-fillable version of the first, and a third file where the first four cards are on one 8.5"x11" page and the second is the backs of those cards (laid out so they can be printed front/back.) In either case, trim each card down to the standard 3.5"x2.5" card size--the extra is to allow for a "bleed". (Some extra artwork so if the front and back don't line up perfectly, the trimming still looks OK.)
