NPC Portraits Deck: Adventurers

Rivals, allies, or threats? Draw a handful of system neutral NPCs to motivate and complicate adventure!

Each has a picture and summary of his or her personality along with suggestions to persuade, deceive, or intimidate the NPC. Quirks & quotes help get into character quickly and make each memorable. You are sure to find ideas that inspire you among the variety of power levels, ethnicities, and fantasy races. Your players aren't the only ones questing through your world. Who will they meet?

• Portrait of an NPC on one side, the other side has the character's background and personality, with many story hooks.
• The deck has 54 cards (51 NPC cards, two cards with alternate names, and one cover card).

Note: PDF download includes a zip of three files: One with each side of a card as its own 3.75"x2.75" page, a second which is a form-fillable version of the first, and a third file where the first four cards are on one 8.5"x11" page and the second is the backs of those cards (laid out so they can be printed front/back.) In either case, trim each card down to the standard 3.5"x2.5" card size--the extra is to allow for a "bleed". (Some extra artwork so if the front and back don't line up perfectly, the trimming still looks OK.)
